It seems you did a great job removing flares. I'd be inclined to give this a go as an HDR image.

thanks Peto and Irma , yea byrt i see what you are saying , i have more to do to this one . One step at a time. LOL . I guess thats why i do not like depending on PS and try to get the shot right on film first. But thats why i am out playing.

Very nice, Drake - much better than my attempt at fixing flairs. Well done.
The only critique I would make is that you may want to try cropping so that horizon is not dead center. Generally speaking, subjects look close to the viewer when the horizon is above center - and far from the viewer when the horizon is below center. A dead center horizon leaves the viewer's relationship to the scene ambiguous. Don't get me wrong - dead center horizons sometimes work well - just a suggestion to try to see if you like it.

Hah - I edited my last post to remove the refernece to the round spot - realized I was just being critical - and it wasn't very bad at all - at the same time I decided to add some "real" critique - you replied while I was editing the original post.

The 2nd version is much better Shawn. Your original flare-removal was good, but I also found the left-over circle a little distracting in the 1st image. 2nd one is spot on (and a nicer composition I feel too).

Agree with Kombi - flare removal i perfect now - and the new composition makes this a jewel.
