Ok, I was out at Mud Lake today to see if I can see some woodpeckers and more Red winged Black birds, which I did. While I was browsing in the forest, I saw older folks walking deeper into the forest and I talked to a couple and she asked me if I saw the big Brown Owl's nest. Of course I didn't even know it existed there, so just followed them and sure enough there was on top of a huge and tall tree, Even my 400-mm lens was not long enough for this, but I thought I'd share anyways. Looks like mom was not there, but I saw two babies on the nest. Tons of small branches were in the way too, so focusing was a nightmare.
