A small crop I liked.

G'day Pete, I like the light on the flowers but I find the background a bit busy. Maybe add some blur..:/

Mmmm, I really like the contrast. I have another similar shot that I may play with.

Pete, I like the contrast too......along with the light and shadow. Looking at the shot again I think its just the sticks in the top right that keeps getting my attention.

If the clutter bothers you (I don't find it too distracting, but did notice it), perhaps taking this shot from a different viewpoint/angle (ie get down on the ground and shoot across rather than down) might have reduced the amount of it in the shot? Unfortunately it would have probably made it more difficult to capture that light and shadow which are what really makes this shot, but on the upside if you did manage to pull the shot off then the unique angle would improve its "memorability" factor.

You may be right but sadly it is a 6km hike back to this spot and pretty soon most of this area will be under snow for the next three or four months. :o

Okay, I went back and took another shot, what do you think of this one. :o
