Hasn't been much action in my camera for a couple of weeks, but i thought you all might be having withdrawal symptoms, so I'd better share some cute TJ pics Tongue

Oh, and what do you think of this?

I think No 1. and the artistic edit both look great. The original is sharp, has good depth and well composed. The only thing I could pick on is the slightly distracting bright colours of the bike in the background competing with the other more neutral colouring in the rest of the shot. The best part of the photo though has to be the eyes... Big, sharp and bright. Wonderful shot. All my shots of my kids look like your No 2. lately always running away when the camera comes out...

The high contrast edit works for me because there is enough dark and light tones in the entire image. Theres no large areas of bright white or darkness and the centre piece is still the eyes.
hi Schell, good work on these..........my picks would be #'s 1 & 2, I also like the doggy shot. Smile

What does not work for me is #3 the pose looks to forced and he seems to be looking straight down the camera.........# 5 the pp is just not my bag....sorry

Now I really like #2, my suggestion for this shot would be, give it more space........"he is walking away" more space would add to the feel........ I think the crop/shot is too tight. I look at the shadow and would love to see more of it.........hope that makes sense Smile

again well done
Thanks Smarti, I will apply selective desaturation on the bike with the sponge tool I think. Thanks!
Russ, Thanks also, I agree with the pose of no 3, I have way too many posed 'head shots' of these kids, and I'll try to be a bit more creative in my crops as well as poses.
Don't be sorry, we don't all like the same things and I think anyone who posts a heavily edited image such as that one knows that not everyone is going to like it. I can't draw, so its nice to create something that sorta looks like I can Tongue
I can totally see what you mean with no 2 as well, thanks for your feedback Smile
#1 and #2 are great pictures... The light is really nice in both... color and composition is nice as well...

#3 I like the picture... I would suggest just to level the soulders, and have a bit more contrast... I find it a bit pale...

#4 I like it!! I would have left a bit more room not to cut off the tip of the ear and elbow...

I like your post processing on #1 for the same reason Smarti explained above...

It won't be too difficult for TJ to find a girlfried with those beautiful eyes Wink
