I wouldn't know what to critique. It is a style all of it's own and is very nice. The only thing that I find id my eyes look for nore bike to look at.
Thanks for looking Smile
Hey Craig... I would imagine the image would be pretty monochromatic in colour already... perhaps a colour version would be better?
A lot of the reflections are green, and I didn't like green chrome, so I went monochrome.
I have come back to see your picture for few times Bob, and I confess I don't feel capable of making any critique on your picture...
I think I am not familiar enough with the subject, and I am sure my comment will be inappropriate...

Sorry...
it's funny, I like it as a picture, but I wasn't sure what I was looking at at first.
It's a bit hard to look at with the harsh contrast I find. have you tried to tone the black and white version?
or like ST suggested, what does the color version even look like?

I'v been wrestling with this one, because it seemed a bit off to me but I couldn't figure out just what was bothering me. I think I know now.

My eye feels somewhat unsatisfied by not seeing the bell of the tailpipe on the left - the photo seems slightly unfinished or without a logical termination. I know this sounds bizarre coming from a guy who is always urging people to zoom in tighter and eliminate detail that can be implied, but here is my thinking...

Your composition is basically central which is normal in a photo like this - except for the tailpipe which forms a leading line to the left. My eye is automatically drawn along the tailpipe, and then I bump my nose on the corner of the photo...
I think maybe, if you cranked up the contrast to the sort of effect you get with HC copy film, it would do the job for you.

Why not try it?
