I'm not sure how legitimate or legal this site is, but it has a lot of the consumer magazines available for download in pdf format. I rarely buy hardcopy magazines these days, mostly because I can read and find most of the information on the net. But I guess if it's free, and in electronic format, then I wouldn't mind reading a few.
There are quite a few titles there, and varied as well such as:
- What Digital Camera
- Digital Creative Arts
- 3D Creative
- PC Magazine
- Smartphone and Pocket Pc
- Macworld
- Scientific American
and also a few "naughty" ones...

I downloaded "What Digital Camera 05 2006" (31mb) and it's got top quality, full colour pages, complete with hyperlinks to jump to different bits in the mag. Awesome!
Again, I don't know how legitimate or legal these are, and how they get away with it when these are obviously not free magazines. There's no info on the site and no "about" page etc.. but down the bottom there's a line that says:
" If the copyright of any magazine belongs to you, contact us and we'll remove it! "
Anyway... enjoy!
