thanks for looking and your help ............. Shawn

p . s . and i know that it has a blur to it thats not the problem LOL , resize does it no justice . I think it works for this shot ......
I find the shadowed eyes very bothersome, they are too dark for my tastes. It also looks like her head is floating, a little fill light under her chin would of helped.
I agree, the lighting of the face doesn't work for this picture. I think for females, soft, even lighting is more flattering. I like her pose, and the rose petal's are very sweet.

hmmm. i don't think there is an edit that would 'fix' the shadow's in the eyes- but hey, feel free to prove me wrong. If there is a way, these guys'll find it.
Definitely the eyes.
hi

i also think the other hand is lost somewhere, it should be more closer to the other. the background been black does not help as the legs also looks like are floating.

take care

christian
I agree with the above comments so I will just say, I really like where you are going with this shot........well done!!
I saw the same things , and just wanted to see if it was that " bad " , and i guess it is . The shadows are really bad here and i have played and played with them and cant seem to get rid of them. If someone can help with this one plese feel free , if not i understand ..

.... Thanks for looking ( im off to go play Big Grin ) .......... Shawn
I really like this image, with the exception of the deep shadows around the face, as the others have pointed out. It has a really nice pose and feel to it.

I know it's hard to go back and reshoot and recapture the same moment, but maybe next time you might want to experiment with maybe some reflectors or additional lighting...
Somewhere? is a Photoshop tutorial for shadow round the eyes. How to remove and lighten eyes. If no one comes up with anything I'll have a look tomorrow. (Bedtime in UK)
This is unsharp. It's not soft focus. It's blur. I don't think y ou can fix it.

Don i blurred it on purpose, it is in focus in the original but even with that its still VERY VERY hard to get rid of the shadows. I have played with it for 2 nights now and they just wont go away !! Big GrinBig GrinBig Grin

NT73, if you get a chance and find that i would love to see it , if not no worries ( i stole that saying from the aussies Big Grin cuz i like it ) , I appreiate it .

Thanks ST , i can reshoot , but i have a few more that i know she will like so i might just give up on the shadows , dunno ..

.................. Thanks for the help ...... Shawn
Drake - OT - I remember a Canadian friend of mine who was living in Australia. She kept hearing that expression "no worries" and was really feeling stressed about it. She said why do people keep telling me not to worry - I am not worried!

After I explained it to her she laughed.

Cheers,

Chris
I like the softness and the atmosphere in the pictures. thinking valentine's day.
As far as I can see, you have done a very nice job about the softness, and even if this doesn't end up being THE shot, you have done good work here!

the shadows aren't nice, but weren't acutally the first thing that struck me. I was more irritated by the arc of light over her, which seems to "stand" in the room in a way light can't stand.....

BTW, people in britain say "no worries", I think I am the only person over here ever saying it :-)

I think the shot is great. The only issue for me is her eyes. I think the rest of the processing works well. It is your creation. If you are happy then so be it.
I think this is the one BD. After you play with it, click on different pages for more info.
There are loads of tutorials in this link alone.
