I know that this one is not original , but i had to see if i could make this work . This is my best friend and future wifes hands , and we wanted to play around a little bit . Please tell me what you think.

It's real nice but there's something about the mans hand that doesn't seem relaxed enough. Maybe because he's got a thorny rose under it. I just did a google and looked at images other people have done for this type of shot and it appears that it is not an easy shot to get both bride and grooms hands looking un-posed and comfortable. All in all it is a good photo. I believe you achieved what you were trying for.
thanks Peto , it is a " play " around shot that they wanted and thought i would try it out. I agree with the not relaxed look.

P. S..... ( its a fake rose so no hands were stuck Big GrinBig Grin )
I do not like the egg shaped effect behind the hands, as when I first looked it came across as a pregnant tummy. Maybe a colour change from flesh colour.
Hey Shawn... overall nice image, and those romantic wedding shots are pretty cool.

More nitpicking - I find the darkened oval a bit claustrophobic. I think it's probably because the tips of the fingers are left out of the picture...
Sorry, but the top hand looks as if it's depressing and stifling the lower one; the lighting is somewhat low-key for the subject maybe...?
I would prefer the hands resting on her leg (rather than cut out from the original shot) - especially if she was wearing her wedding dress (obviously you couldn't have the dress in this shot as it wasn't their wedding day).

I also really don't like the dark oval.
So i see no one likes the oval look LOL . To be honest i thought the shot was very boring , i played and played with it and still got nothin. This shot was the " best " that i could come up with from the original . But i have more ideas now Wink. I think i might just stay away from the oval all together and try something else .

Thanks for all the input , it really helps !!

I guess it's easier to criticise than to actually produce something... Big Grin

Maybe post the original and see what people can do with it? Big Grin
Nice n soft image and the colors are natural too. I know it's not easy to pull off these type of shots.
Thats a great idea ST , i think i might do that ( not tonight ) but i will . I am going to play with it somemore too so lets see what people come up with Big Grin

Thanks Jaika and ST for looking , and there will be somemore to come . Just not as many portrait type shots , ( i go in spells ) . LOL
