Can anyone tell me how (or have any good links) to overlay a semi-transparent watermark over an image?
Something like Corbis e.g.

I guess you could do one in photoshop by adding a text layer, and reducing its opacity. But its not exactly a "watermark". I did a quick search in google and they had this tut for
psp v5. But i'm sure this technique can be carried over to photo shop CS or something.
PS. Its not a great tutorial, but you get the idea.

Yes, what LAK said woiuld be the easiest, and doing that you can use a logo or anytihng because all layers can me made trasparent.
ah cool... layers.... ok.. i'll see what i can do. thanks guys

Doesn't PhotoShop have the Digimark filter in the filters menu? That's a watermark I think.

I thought that was an embedding number registered with Digimark.
You are probably right - I have given it only passing attention. I thin Lak nailed the solution with low opacity layers.
Oh cool... just what I was after. Thanks pai!
