I took these pictures in my garden, and I think the idea matches well the topic, but I am not too sure about my composition...

Thanks so much for your comments Smile
I prefer the second composition. I like the way the face sits right in the corner looking into the frame. I also prefer the tones of the statue in the second. I do wonder if it may be improved with a smaller aperture to bring a bit more of the background colour into focus. But thats just a matter of preference (balance of bokeh / focus).
Thanks Smarti Smile

This is one of the things I was considering as well... If it would be better to have the statue completely sharp to stand out from the background or as it is... The picture is for a challenge about bokeh with fall colors ... Smile

I will try again... Smile

Thanks again...
I like the second shot too- the warm tones are lovely, but i think I prefer the saturation of the background colours in the first shot.
Thanks so much Schell for your comment... I will try to take it again... I just need to have better weather... I am planning to post it in a challenge about bokeh.. I hope I get the good one before the challenge is closed...
The 2nd shot does it for me - nicely composed.

I actually prefer the background of the first shot and the foreground/composition of the 2nd!

There's no pleasing some people!!

Oh! So sorry... forgot to clone out the spots in the first one... Sad
I prefer the the second shot in the first attempt Irma. It seems to look cleaner.
Hey Irma - Those last shots look great!

I can't choose between them though (Note: Bring glasses to work)

;-D

Excellent.

What camera did you use? The Lumix?
Thanks so much to you all for your help here... there are already more than 60 pictures in the Challenge, and some of them really beautiful...

Oh! Well... let's see...

I took it with a 5D and a macro lens...
Late into this thread - been on the road again. I like the shot with the face. It draws the viewer into the photo. The shot with the face cropped draws the viewer's eye out the top of the photo.
