While watering my garden yesterday I saw an opportunity for a shot I've never tried before. I think it came out fairly good. Do you?

Hey OJ - I think so!

Love the water droplets glistening in the sun - it's magic The composition is great too - the empty space on the left works well.

Welcome to Shuttertalk! Big Grin

Jules
I agree with Jules comment... I only would suggest a bit of sharpening ...

Welcome to Shuttertalk.
Lovely Jim - welcome to Shuttertalk.
That's my favorite type of flower photo, warm sunlight, a simple and direct composition, and a dark, uncluttered background.
Well done.
Thank you for the welcome and thank you for the kind comments on my photo. I will try a redo of this photo with a little more sharpening and compare the two.

God Bless
Jim
Welcome to Shuttertalk, OJ. The water droplets really stand out in this shot. Well done!
The water drops really add to the image Jim, wonderful close-up!. The detail and color is great, there is a lot of space to the left though.
I like the negative space.
It adds to the composition, in my opinion.
To me it represents the flower reaching for the light, as well as putting the flower in a more interesting place within the frame.
