There was a strange bank of red/brown cloud on the horizon, which spoilt the sky. The sun did not appear until about 25 minutes after it should have done.
It seemed to improve though.

I love the gold coming across the water in the first one.If it's not to much trouble it would be nice to know where these photos are taken that members are posting since I live on a different continent.

Hope you are having a great holiday and we will be seeing more of your photos. I particularly like #2.
Should read ..had a great holiday Pat...I was out there from 1 Nov to the 22nd. Sadly back home to chilly and wet, and my football team has lost 6 on the trot and 2 draws.

Beautiful picture and beautiful light... I love the golden color NT... Did you use any kind of filter for this series... They are really lovely... Both have their own merit... I love the sun in the second one...

Thanks Irma, glad you like them. No filters, straight out of camera, and no pp.in #2
Foreground lightenend in #1.
And cropped a little, as I straightened the horizon.
I was changing the aperture as the sun got stronger.
Nice shots NT, I like the composition and tones on the second shot........
Don't worry about your football team watch the cricket instead you have got to be happy with how the poms are going in the second test....... its getting interesting!!
Both are lovely - well done.
