They're shown with optional battery bottoms attached.
Remove that and they aren't too big.

If it's full frame, I better start saving my cash NOW!! lol The a100 replacement pictured is actually almost a direct design copy of the old Minolta 9D which was to come out, but never did because of the Sony take over
