After seeing this and other great panoramic photos it has kind of inspired me to try some panormaice photos, and as you might know I have the FujiFilm Finepix S5000 which does not have a 'Panoramic' funtion as far as I can tell, so I was wondering what is needed to take these photos? are there any cameras avainable in australia for panoramic photos?

Thanks in advance
dewy =)
Hey dewy... just pan and take a few shots, allowing for overlap. Then you can get some software to stitch it together on your computer. That's how most panoramas are done. Using a tripod helps, but is not necessary.
Any one know of any software to do this? Prefereably Free or OpenSource, but I suppose if it does the job well It could go down as my first software I ahve ever paid for =P
If you seriously want a panoramic camera you could go for the Hasselblad XPan II for only $4,500.00 without any lenses!
I Think I might stick with using Photostiching untill I win the Lotto =P
I've used the arcsoft software which comes free with most stuff... not bad. Also IPIX.

Irfan view (free image viewer) has the function, but haven't tried it out.
Can you ame a few things that the Arcsoft Software cames with?
i just use the canon photrostich util ..does the job good for me ..
