Shawn, I really like the first image in particular. Images with a road or a path through dense tall trees nearly always appeal to me but this one more so because of the really strong colour.

I like the first, but to me it is not showcase. :/

Your composition in both pictures is great!
I like the mood and color in the first one. The second one is my fav I think. I love the way you composed with colors and the detail that you have here.
