There were three of these, nearly identical in size and shape, on the leading-edge of a cold front.
Another local photographer saw them but didn't bother to take any pictures. He's a cloud-specialist, so I wonder why?
It almost looks like a tornado forming, but these were too high in the sky for that to happen. And it wasn't a storm, just unusual cloud/wind conditions.
I didn't shoot the whole group of 3, choosing instead to focus on the best one for more resolution/detail.
That was a big mistake as far as context and a historical record, but I very much like the photo I got.
