There were three of these, nearly identical in size and shape, on the leading-edge of a cold front.
Another local photographer saw them but didn't bother to take any pictures. He's a cloud-specialist, so I wonder why?
It almost looks like a tornado forming, but these were too high in the sky for that to happen. And it wasn't a storm, just unusual cloud/wind conditions.

I didn't shoot the whole group of 3, choosing instead to focus on the best one for more resolution/detail.
That was a big mistake as far as context and a historical record, but I very much like the photo I got.

That sky is beautiful!
The golden cloud is great, and the colors are are perfect!

Did you make any post processing in this picture... I am working a lot with this combination.... yellow-blue and I like lot the colors you have here.
that's awesome!
Amazing Keith.
Thanks.

I pushed the levels very hard to the dark side, Irma.
That's all I ever do to my colors is use 'levels' in Photoshop.
Curves confuse me.
Yes, going to the dark side Keith Alan K is, Obi-wan...

There's something to be said about simplicity. I like your cloud photos, and can understand why they're so popular.

Big Grin
Fascinating stuff, Keith - and great processing.
A ballerina cloud. Like something out of Disney.
