Here are some of the pictures I've been working on for a Black & White/ Monochrome competition at my camera club.
All were converted from colour digital images in Photoshop CS3.

Any thoughts?

I really like the first one, very pretty.

I think the the bar going across the top of the 2nd pic is very distracting, I've had a couple of looks at it (both last night and today) and when i take my first glance, i think that the photo has been split in some way? Its hard to tell if this would be so noticable in a print, rather then off the computer screen.
