I bought this for fun for $30 from a neighborhood store.

Good deal!

And 2MP is all most people need for up to 4x6 prints.

The megapixel wars are ridiculous.
Thats what I feel. My DSLR is only 6.1 megapixels.
Another camera. You thinking of starting a shop? Big Grin
I guess i love cameras, espeically when they are REALLY CHEAP!
Nice - imaging resource called that camera a good bargain when it cost $200. And while a whole host of things have gotten better/brighter/faster over the past five years, absolute image quality isn't high on the list.
absolute image quality isn't high on the list.

Maybe when transistors and chips get even smaller, the mfgrs will be able to rectify that at a price we can afford.
It is really not too long ago that cameras were mainly mechanical, and half the size and weight they are now.
I am thinking of pentax and leica with the leather ever ready cases.
Now it is a not quite ever ready backpack. How long before we get a quality electronic zoom, and do away with all the L quality glass ? Wink
Good for you. I agree. My "obsolete" gear is not obsolete in my house. Smile
I bewail for the anger-ridden thing that has seemed to replace the pleasure of photography on so many forums: pixel-peeping drives blood pressure up. And it is a mere spit ago that we had no autocus points to worry about augmenting the number of...(sorry,...nurse, bring me my slippers and pipeRolleyes)
Actually the old film cameras were heavy dogs and not ergomically designed. People used to buy special grips so they could hold them. Modern cameras (digital and film) are a lot nicer. This Fuji camera is fat and not especially designed to fit the hands. It is light though.
