A couple of shots I got from my back window.
Wow - 2 really stunning photos! I love them both. Flash I assume? It does wonders fro eliminating background, if you need not wory about flat lighting
These ARE really novel and wonderful. How did you do it?
I'd guess the answer to that is the combo of uncompromisingly mastering the tools and understanding light to externalise the vision.
Lovely flappy things in Tennessee!
Yes, what Zig said!
â¦..plus, just the right morning light (no flash) with a shadowy thicket in the distance to create the black background, 300 mm, f/5.6, 1/400, ISO 250, and knowing that both hummingbirds and dragonflies like to return to the same spot over and over, so just focusing on their spot and patiently waiting for them to return (usually doesnât take very long). Thanks everyone.
These are beautiful Aine!
I couldn't pick a favorite, both are excellent images....
Love number 2 beautiful colours and a great composition. well done
No flash! I was convinced you'd adjusted flash output to get that effect...well-metered then me dear!
Thank you Irma, Navis, and thanks again Zig.
