Hey that's great! Straight to my bookmarks - thanks for sharing!
Incidentally, the other day I was looking for some photos I took of a friend's wedding a few years back - and I noticed that half the files are missing!!
I think I must have done some cleaning up and thought they were duplicates because of the same name... doh!
Let's hope I've got a backup somewhere... and before I did the cleanup!

Lexar and SanDisk have been known to give away free recovery software with their memory cards.
Ritz/Wolf Camera now offers this service in their stores, but charge too much.
You pretty much need a card reader to do this--it takes several hours and will drain most camera batteries to nothing--if that happens before completion it doesn't finish and you wasted a lot of time.
