My first Day out with new 50D, was 19 degrees, there may be some shaking! Quite a different camera to the Xti in terms of using it.

Yosemite Valley, Ca.
Just plain Holy Cow! I will say some of the whites were burned out at the bottom.
I get a feeling of depth and height as well as cold.

wow.. Stunning!
What a fantastic location to test out a new camera. Congrats.

From my front door to the vertical shot in the trees is about 75 minutes in good weather... Anotehr hour to the next 2 shots. I love being near Yosemite.
I love that last shot - awesome place.
Very nice. Exceptional-no. Very iconic images taken over and over again by multiple millions. Problem is that you are probably like me, we cannot give up our day jobs and do not have the time to search out that time of day, weather pattern, angle or composition that makes a postcard into a breath taking piece of art.
I've visited Yosemite in the region of 100 times in the last 7 years... once and once only have I gotten cloud in the valley. I have visited for the Moonbow, was clouded out.... the backlit horsetail falls... was clouded out!
I have yet to get an ounce of color on El Capitan at Sunset despite researchig the best times of year etc.
