I managed to catch up with some of my close friends today who have recently become parents for the first time. I had a camera with me and offered to take some photos for them.

I really haven't shot babies before so this was a bit of a learning experience for me. I quickly learned that I had to simply shoot whatever I could. Little Milly here follows directions even less than my cats! And my cats don't burst into tears as easily either...
I'd love to hear any constructive criticism about these shots and any good tips for this kind of photography. I doubt this will be the last time I shoot her.


1. Milly is almost 5 weeks old.

5. But there's always someone there for comfort.

Great series of shots, the proud parents are going to love them.

#4 and 5 are both really strong images. Very nice.

We would've liked to have shot some more, but Milly was getting restless so we left it at that.
Yep Chris, all shot with 5D2, 35L and 135L. Lighting was just a single 580EX II strobe fired off-camera through an umbrella with a window providing natural light.
