Went out last night to ride the wheel. I took a few shots, of which this was my favourite. Shot on my 5D2 with the 24-105 at 6.3 and ISO 500.
Hope you like it.

wow what a powerful piece. I love the light and the loneliness of the empty people carriers.
Thanks ST and Don - everything felt rock solid when we rode the wheel on Friday night.
You always wonder how well things like this are put together.
That looks like the one we had in York UK. Great photo.
Lovely shot there Chris.

You mentioned that you rode the wheel... so where are the photos from the top?
I've been meaning to go for a ride in it just so I can get some photos of the city from the top. It would make a change from the same-old-shot-from-kings-park or the same-old-shot-from-south-perth which are lovely views but seem to be the only two angles the Perth CBD ever gets photographed from.
I did take some and they are ok. The view of the city is obstructed by the way the cubicle is constructed. Makes it difficult to get a great shot. The windows were not very clean either. I also had my wife and three kids which meant there wasn't much spare glass to shoot through
