Home to the 11th Duke of Rutland whose lineage goes back to the 13th century.
A Link if anyone is interested........http://www.belvoircastle.com/500anniversary.asp
We had a trip there on Thursday and a special guided tour. Photo's not normally allowed but I am very persuasive.

The small swords in the wheels are for footsoldiers, and the larger ones (RH side) are for the cavalry.
Some of the paintings are by Thomas Gainsborough.

One of the many rooms inside. This is for the Ladies, when the Gents retired to their port and gin rooms after Dinner. (Rather what!)
